Coaching service - case study

A newly appointed senior manager was taking up their first senior management role in a failing service. They required coaching to help them develop their role

What we did:

We offered the client a programme of seven one to one coaching sessions with a professional coach. The programme incorporated MBTI Step II profiling and feedback to enable the client to better understand their own preferred style of working, opening the way to interact more effectively as a manager with members of their team.

Using the MBTI profile and a wide range of coaching tools and techniques, the client was able to explore their own management style and leadership potential. Through the use of coaching the client then had tough conversations with members of their team about performance – conversations that were essential to achieve the changes within their service. This enabled the client to rapidly establish their credibility within their leadership role and achieve their personal and organisational objectives.

The Result:

By the end of the six month's coaching programme the client had achieved their desired outcomes, becoming established as an effective manager and leader and they gained confidence in their ability to lead the team and achieve their strategic objectives.

“This has been the most productive process I’ve probably ever experienced! I’ve had other types of coaching but this has had the most impact.”
